Can Psychotherapy Help You?
About Me
I am based in Brighton & Hove and hold an MSc in Psychodynamic Counselling and Psychotherapy from Birkbeck University, London, as well as a Diploma in Counselling Psychology.
I am registered with the British Psychoanalytic Counsel and have extensive experience of working with clients from different backgrounds, with a range of emotional difficulties including, anxiety, depression, loss and trauma.
About Therapy
People come to therapy for all sorts of issues, some of which have been going on for years and others because of a recent trauma. Whatever you may be experiencing, my aim is to help you better understand the situation you find yourself in, and provide a safe, non-judgemental, confidential space for you to explore what has brought you to therapy.
Psychotherapy addresses the person as a whole. It is an open exploration of your thoughts and feelings, which leads into an uncovering of the unconscious factors that lie behind your difficulties, therefore, allowing you to develop the agency to make necessary changes. Psychotherapy is a deeper way of working, which enables you to safely process emotions that may have been experienced as unbearable, as well as providing the support for learning about our whole selves at depth, freeing up our mind to address our situation more honestly and effectively. A sense of feeling more focused and in control of your life, along with improved inner resilience and self-belief, and improved emotional stability, are key benefits I hope you’ll enjoy.
I offer flexible session times between 8am and 9pm, Monday to Friday.
